Intellian achieves industry-leading VSAT speeds
Irvine, Calif. - Intellian, the global technological leader in marine satellite antennas, has been selected to supply VSAT communications antennas to OmniAccess S.L., a marine IT & networks systems integrator and service provider. The Intellian 60cm 3-axis Ku-band VSAT antennas have been installed on-board nineteen vessels of one of the world's leading river cruise companies.
Internet connectivity is increasingly becoming a key element in the customer satisfaction of river cruise vessels. In today's wireless world, passengers expect to be well connected to the Internet and be able to share their holiday experiences online wherever they may be. It is thanks to this VSAT technology solution that these vessels are able to transfer an average over 300Gb of data per month.

OmniAccess S.L. has developed a turnkey private fleet network solution that provides the most efficient way of sharing a large 24Mbps + bandwidth pools exclusively amongst private cruise fleets. The 60cm (23.6in.) Intellian v60G is designed specifically for vessels requiring a compact antenna size that delivers reliable, uninterrupted broadband connectivity for on-demand worldwide communications. The Intellian v60G's advanced satellite tracking system allows it to find and lock onto the relevant satellite without using a separate input from the vessel's own gyro-compass, a great advantage in River Cruisers that often sail under bridges and along channel blockages.
The unlimited azimuth eliminates cable wrap and the lengthy loss of signal connection as the system unwinds, vital for applications where signal loss is unacceptable. The Intellian v60G is also easily installed due to its reduced weight (59Kg) and requires minimal maintenance through remote IP access.
All Intellian antenna systems are designed, manufactured and tested to withstand the company's industry-leading standards for extreme shock and vibration in all sea states and weather conditions. VSAT and 3-axis TVRO warranties are now increased to an industry-leading three years for parts and one year for labour.
