World's Smallest Marine Satellite TV Antenna Systems
9/17/2008

Irvine, California- Intellian Technologies(R) USA is making big waves in the marine industry with its launch of the world's smallest satellite television antenna systems. These two new-for-2009 systems, the Intellian i1(TM) and the Intellian i2(TM), have been specially engineered to bring ultra stabilized, highly mobile satellite television reception to a wider range of boats than ever before possible.

With its 11" dish, compact, stylish dome and antenna weight of approximately 10 lbs., the Intellian i1 is the world's smallest marine satellite TV system and is up to 50 percent smaller than competitive units -- yet it offers boaters big advantages in user-friendly operation and overall system cost. This system provides big-boat entertainment options for vessels as small as 25' LOA -- giving owners of walk-around sport fishing boats, cuddy cabins, sailboats and other vessels the opportunity to enjoy movies, sports, news and more while fishing inshore waters, cruising the Intracoastal, overnighting at anchor or just relaxing with friends in port.

The full-featured Intellian i2 is still smaller than other competitive marine satellite TV systems with its slightly larger 13" antenna and compact dome, making it a perfect match for a wide range of power and sailing vessels operating in a variety of conditions. It delivers nationwide satellite reception, High Definition capabilities, exclusive built-in Multi-satellite Interface Module (MIM) and stable performance unmatched even by larger, costlier systems.

Compact size and the ability to install and use the Intellian i1 and i2 on smaller vessels are only part of the story, however. While Intellian is a new name to American boaters, this Seoul, South Korea-based high-tech company has for many years been building advanced satellite TV systems for a world-leading marine electronics brand.

This valuable engineering and manufacturing experience has helped Intellian Technologies develop state-of-the-art technologies and features for its new line of Intellian branded satellite TV systems, covering every type of vessel from larger trailerable boats to ocean-going megayachts and commercial ships.

Many of these sophisticated features are found on the new Intellian i1 and i2, proving the company's philosophy that the best technology shouldn't be reserved only for the largest vessels. Among these important features and advantages are: Axially Displaced Ellipse (ADE) Antenna Design: This new high-gain, high-efficiency antenna design provides superior performance when compared to traditional Cassegrain antennae of comparable size. Improved gain and efficiency work in concert with Intellian's other features to ensure the best possible performance under constantly changing and challenging conditions at sea, i.e. Wide Range Search (WRS) Algorithm, all new ACU, Multi-satellite Interface Module (MIM) and High-Tech Vacuum-Formed Dome.

The new Intellian i1 and i2 will be available beginning fall 2008, through the company's nationwide network of top marine electronics dealers/installers.
